A knitting pattern 65 million years in the making.......its Terence the T-Rex! I am reading your knitting wishes right now.....they are saying "I am over the traditonal stuff. I have knit enough sweaters, shawls, hats, scarves, and socks. Now I want to knit a couple DINOSAURS!" So here I am, with the second installment of my knitter-mind reading with another dinosaur pattern (did you see Basil yet?) Yup, pattern designer and mind reader. This knitting pattern from Danger Crafts will show you how to knit Terence the Tap Dancing T-Rex out of your choice of yarn. Since it doesn't take much yarn to knit this guy, this is a great stash busting project for all those times you've bought one ball of yarn because it was pretty, or on sale, or both. This pattern is very fun and once you knit one brontosaurus, you will find you want to knit a whole herd!

Skill Level: Intermediate

Skills used: Basic knit and purl stitches, increases, decreases, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, basic sock knitting skills, Kitchener Stitch, holding live stitches on waste yarn and coming back to them later, after thought heel technique (knitting stitches on waste yarn and removing the waste yarn to expose live stitches to be knit later) and basic sewing skills. Amount of Time To Complete Project: About 10-15 hours depending on skill level
Yarn: 275-325 yards of yarn in your main color and 50 yards or less of yarn in each of your contrast colors
Gauge: You pick! Simply knit with your choice of yarn on needles 2-3 sizes smaller than called for to get a tight knit fabric your stuffing wont show through,
Needles: You pick! A 40" circular needle in a size appropriate for you yarn. See the pattern for more info.

Notions: safety eyes or scrap yarn, waste yarn in the same weight (but different color) from your working yarn, tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers, stuffing, straight pins, row counter, stuffing.

Three sample T-Rexs with material lists to create them are included in this pattern. Sample T-Rexs range in size from 16” tall to 25” tall and are knit using Sock, Sport, and Worsted Weight yarns.
