The cardigan is knitted in twelve strips in Stockinette stitch with seed stitch borders. The strips are then sewn together to create a beautiful cozy winter cardigan with a clever patchwork design.
Knit with bulky Alafosslopi on a US10 needle. This project is perfect for all experience levels from adventurous beginner to the most advanced knitters.
We have created kits for both colorways. You will receive 12 skeins of Alafosslopi in the colorway of your choice. (all sizes use the same amount of yarn.)

Abotut Alafosslopi: Spun from 100% Icelandic wool, Lopi creates hand knitting yarns that possess outstanding breathability & thermal insulation. For over 1,000 years, sheep in Iceland have been roaming the sub-arctic climate. Their adaption to the climate has given their wool a distinctive character. The fleece is a combination of inner & outer fibers with the inner fibers being soft & insulating, while the outer fibers are long, durable & weather resistant. Together the fibers create a yarn that is warm & durable.
