Learn to Make Elizabeth Zimmerman's Baby Surprise Jacket
Held Over 4 Weeks: Thursdays, October 3,10,17, & 24 from 11am-1pm
Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Baby Surprise Jacket has become near legendary since its conception in 1968, from the newsletter #21. The jacket is knitted back and forth in Garter stitch, then cleverly folded and completed by weaving the shoulder seams. This is the perfect "first sweater" project for an adventurous beginner!
Experience Needed: Should know how to knit, cast-on, and bind-off.
Materials: DK or Sport weight yarn, US4-6 needles (for first class to determine gauge). Please buy your class supplies at Knotty Knit. Be sure to show up to class on time with materials ready or come early to shop.
What You'll Learn: How to read a pattern, understand gauge, buttonholes, joining seams, changing colors.
Homework: Will be given at the end of the first class.

This is an in person workshop held at the shop. Maximum of 8 students. There will be no make up classes, please check your calendar before committing.
